Brantley Gilbert’s latest concert came with an unforgettable twist when his wife, Amber Cochran Gilbert, gave birth right in the middle of his show.
The country rock star shared the story of “the craziest night of my life” on Instagram. While performing at Cadence Bank Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi, as part of his “Off the Rails Tour,” Gilbert was called backstage for an unexpected emergency—his wife had gone into labor.
Despite the life-changing moment, Gilbert had to return to the stage to finish his performance. He told his audience, “We got a baby,” and was met with cheers and congratulations from both fans and his bandmates, who celebrated the moment with hugs.
In his Instagram post, Gilbert expressed his admiration for his wife and their “road family” who helped them through the experience. “Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget,” he wrote, thanking those who assisted, including Brittany Thornton, who helped with the birth. He also gave a heartfelt shout-out to Amber, calling her an example of incredible strength. “I love you,” he added.
Brantley and Amber have been married since 2015 and are already parents to two children, son Barrett, 6, and daughter Braylen, 5. In a joint Instagram post, the couple wrote, “We will never forget the way you got here, and we can’t wait to see what you do here.”
